Nick has been part of litigating, arbitrating, settling and mediating cases including Eminent Domain representation of both property owners and local government, Bert Harris Act claims for inordinate burdening of property owners' rights, Administrative Law hearings regarding property rights, inverse condemnation actions against local governments for regulatory takings and trespass/ nuisance/ flooding claims as well as general litigation. Background Nick was born in Anchorage, Alaska and grew up in Girdwood, Alaska and Pensacola, Florida where he graduated from Pensacola High School's International Baccalaureate program. He received a joint Bachelors of Arts magna cum laude from the University of Florida in Political Science and Geography. Nick went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida cum laude as well as Masters in Business Administration, specializing in Real Estate from the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business. Nick has worked as a licensed Realtor as well as assisting one of the nation's largest homebuilders use advanced data mapping and Geographic Information Systems Technology to modernize their land acquisition process. He has also spent time on Capitol Hill working for the then chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, as well as the Committee itself. Nick has a strong interest and experience in international affairs and law. He has traveled extensively and lived abroad in Athens, Greece, Weissenhorn, Germany and Cape Town, South Africa. In 2003, his article regarding the dangers of unchecked government land redistribution and international property rights reform published in the Florida Journal of International Law was cited in Amicus to the United States Supreme Court in the landmark case of Kelo v. City of New London.
