Mr. Melchionna's primary areas of practice are estate planning, estate administration and corporate taxation.
Representative Experience
· Advise individual clients on estate planning matters with emphasis on tax planning
· Advise individual clients on substantial transfers of wealth at reduced tax expense
· Advise bank trust departments and individual fiduciaries on their duties and responsibilities in administering trusts and estates, including complex tax issues and estate tax audits by the Internal Revenue Service
· Advise decedent's spouse and potential beneficiaries of their rights to and claims against a decedent's estate, and assistance with litigation to enforce those rights and claims
· Advise businesses and individuals in the acquisition, sale, division and merger of businesses
· Advise tax-exempt entities concerning qualification, tax compliance and planning individual contributions to such entities
