Background
Olivier Guillaume is a partner with our Toronto office. He was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2002. He received his LL.B conferred cum laude from the University of Ottawa French Common Law Program in 2001.
Prior to that, Olivier majored in marketing and human resource management and received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa in 1993. He is fluently bilingual in English and French.
Areas of Practice
· Civil Litigation - personal injury, product liability, occupiers' liability, property and casualty law, commercial disputes, municipal law and professional negligence.
· Litigation involving accident benefits including appearances before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and involving catastrophic injuries.
Professional Experience
· Practice includes mostly insurance defence work in actions involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents, commercial disputes and product liability claims.
· Practice also includes representing plaintiffs in personal injury actions.
· Has appeared as lead counsel before various court levels including the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
· Handles all aspects of litigation including trials, motions, mediations and discoveries.

· Volunteer as pro bono lawyer at Ontario Law Help Project for members of the public who have difficulty accessing legal services.
