Established in 1974, the proposal of the firm is to ensure to its clients the widest assistance in all legal areas through the direct action of its members in the defense of its client's interest in lawsuits or through legal preventive advice. It covers a great range of legal services, mostly in the corporate area and civil and commercial litigation. It also assists foreign investors in structuring business transactions in Brazil. The firm has great experience in corporation issues, acting in transactions of conveyance and acquisition of companies as well as in mergers and acquisitions. In the Capital Market area, the firm handles the placement of securities in the market. The firm acts in tax law structuring business transactions, coordinating tax planning, and handling administrative and judicial proceedings. In view of the growing awareness of the environmental protection and the constant making of new rules to regulate this matter, the office provides legal preventive advice, participates in the negotiations, agreements and the closing of Accords of Adjustment of Conduct and acts in administrative issues besides the Environmental Protection Agencies and in litigation cases and public civil actions.
