P. Leigh Bausinger concentrates her practice in environmental litigation and environmental regulatory compliance.
Leigh's broad-based practice includes the representation of industrial, manufacturing, municipal, public utility, and solid waste clients. She has experience with actions under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Clean Water Act, Pennsylvania's Clean Streams Law, and New Jersey's Spill Compensation and Control Act. She has also been closely involved with eminent domain proceedings, due diligence for transactions involving complex environmental issues, and common law tort and contract claims stemming from environmental and property issues.
Leigh earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the Villanova University School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif. During her time at Villanova, she served as a managing editor of the Villanova Law Review, which published her case note, Welcome to the (Impenetrable) Jungle: Massachusetts v. EPA, the Clean Air Act, and the Common Law of Nuisance, 53 VILL. L. REV. 527 (2008). Leigh received her B.S., magna cum laude, from Tufts University, where she majored in biopsychology and English. Leigh is admitted to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
