Patti is co-chair of the Retail Industry and Consumer Products practice group and a member of the Firm's Executive Committee. She has been active in real estate and corporate law for more than 20 years, having started her practice representing developers and hundreds of tenant associations during the cooperative and condominium housing conversion boom of the early 1980's.
Her real estate practice runs the gamut of residential and commercial transactions in New York and throughout the country, including acquisitions and sales, leasing, financing (representing both lenders and borrowers), restructurings, workouts and development. Her clients include cooperative and condominium boards, hotels, educational institutions, restaurants, investors and developers, brokers, corporate tenants and individuals.
In her corporate practice, Patti concentrates on small and family-owned businesses, providing them with general corporate legal advice and overseeing more complex transactions.
Patti was recently selected as a New York Super Lawyer in the areas of Real Estate and Business/Corporate.
Recent Speaking Engagements and Publications
Patti is a co-author of Successful Partnering between Inside and Outside Counsel, a 4-volume series published by West Publishing, and the Cooperative Conversion Handbook distributed by the New York State Office of the Attorney General. She has been a featured speaker on various real estate topics for the Bar Association of the City of New York and the Council of New York Cooperatives.
