BornRochester, New York, May 16, 1956

Patrick Naylon, a partner in the firm's Rochester office, has over 30 years of litigation and dispute resolution experience. As a litigator, he has handled dozens of trials to verdict in the state and federal courts. Pat's considerable trial experience ranges from the defense of municipalities and their employees in civil rights, employment, and negligence suits to professional malpractice, product liability, toxic tort, and catastrophic injury cases from inception to verdict and appeal. Pat is lead trial counsel for a local client in Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Judicial District asbestos litigation. He also represents municipalities in various types of litigation as well as counseling and negotiation with respect to labor and employment matters.

In the realm of alternative dispute resolution, Pat was among the attorneys invited by the Western District of NY Federal Judiciary to become a Certified Federal Court Mediator. In addition to federally mandated mediation, Pat likewise mediates state court cases as selected by individual attorneys and serves as a panel mediator for Resolute, Inc. and National Arbitration and Mediation Services. A former police officer and volunteer mediator at the Center for Dispute Settlement, Pat utilizes his distinct career background to help parties and their attorneys reach prompt and early and cost savings dispositions by virtue of his understanding of the nature of disputes, extensive litigation experience, and common-sense guidance.
