Patrick Wong has been a partner of Mayer Brown JSM since 1996. He has over 20 years of experience in a wide range of corporate finance transactions involving companies based in Hong Kong and Mainland China, covering IPOs, private placing, convertible bond issues, private placing of warrants and various warrants proposals. He regularly advises on reorganisation, takeovers and mergers of listed companies and different types of significant commercial transactions of listed companies.
Patrick has followed the development of Hong Kong company law closely. He served as a member of the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform between 2005 and 2011 and was the chairman of one of the four dedicated advisory groups established to advise on specific issues concerning the Company Ordinance Rewrite exercise which was launched in 2006. He is the incumbent chairman of the Company Law Committee of the Law Society of Hong Kong.
Patrick's clients range from blue-chip companies to red-chip and H share companies from Mainland China. He speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
