For over 20 years, Patrick Concannon has been devoted to helping businesses establish and protect their brands, including 12 years as a practising trademark attorney. Mr Concannon focuses his practice on US and international trademark clearance, trademark portfolio management and protection and trademark and copyright licensing. He also drafts sophisticated commercial agreements and regularly provides advertising, unfair competition, consumer protection, internet and privacy law counselling. He represents companies in trademark and copyright dispute proceedings (including before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board), in domain name arbitration proceedings and in negotiating settlement agreements in these areas. His trademark clearance and policing expertise is derived in part from his pre-law background working as a management team member and researcher with a leading trademark research firm.
Mr Concannon's privacy and data protection advice has largely focused on website and electronic commerce counseling and compliance counseling specific to the health care and pharmaceutical industries. Mr Concannon's brand protection experience and capabilities, on the one hand, and his commercial agreement skills, on the other, uniquely position him to provide cross-disciplinary legal services, particularly to companies that have an interactive web presence.
