For more than 20 years, Pat Leddy has helped public and private companies successfully structure and complete acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures, with substantial experience in multijurisdictional, cross-border, and international transactions. He has advised on transactions in Brazil, India, Egypt, Pakistan, South America, Italy, Vietnam, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Germany, China, France, Turkey, Malaysia, Thailand, Norway, and Japan. Pat has been the lead outside M&A lawyer for a number of clients for years, creating a deep understanding of the business, strategic goals, risk tolerances, and deal practices of those clients. He also has substantial experience in advising and resolving complex contractual disputes, particularly in the aerospace industry, and post-closing transaction disputes.
Pat's recent representative matters include: advising Ferro Corporation on a series of transactions, including the sale of its Polymer Additives business, the sale of its Specialty Plastics business, and its acquisition of Vetriceramici, an Italian coatings manufacturer; advising Tri-Mas on its acquisition of Allfast Fastening Systems, an aerospace supplier; and advising Toyota Tsusho America in its acquisition of Country Pure Foods.
Pat is a frequent speaker on a variety of M&A matters, including representation and warranty insurance, contractual disputes, and international M&A and joint ventures. He is also an active member of the American Bar Association's Negotiated Acquisition Committee.
