Patton Boggs Participates in the Lloyd M. Johnson, Jr. Scholarship Program
Patton Boggs is proud to commit $30,000 for three individual scholarships for minority law students as part of the Lloyd M. Johnson, Jr. Scholarship Program. Established by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA), this program helps minority law students meet financial needs, such as payment of tuition, book costs, and assorted fees. In addition, it exposes them to leaders in the profession who can guide and mentor their careers.
Patton Boggs Establishes National Council of La Raza's (NCLR) Law Student Scholarship
Patton Boggs awards a $10,000 scholarship to underwrite a first-year Hispanic law student in summer employment aimed at furthering the National Council of La Raza¿s (NCLR) mission to advance career opportunities for Hispanic Americans. Through this annual scholarship program, the firm hopes to have a direct, positive effect on improving the prospects for numerous Hispanic youths in the legal field. Patton Boggs is also outside general counsel to NCLR.
PATTON BOGGS WOMEN'S FORUM
Established in 1993 by the firm's female attorneys, the Patton Boggs Women's Forum allows female professionals at the firm to share ideas and discover new ways of enhancing their communication. The Women's Forum meets regularly to discuss common issues, to share professional and business development strategies, and to encourage mentoring and personal relationships. Over the years, the Women's Forum has proposed various policies, such as expanded parental leave, and alternative work schedules.
