Paul B. Hunt is a partner at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, resident in the Indianapolis, Indiana office. He is the administrator of the firm's Indianapolis office Intellectual Property Department. Mr. Hunt concentrates his practice in the areas of intellectual property litigation and counseling. He has served as trial counsel in patent infringement matters for many clients in federal courts throughout the country. Mr. Hunt has also served as trial counsel for clients in trademark, copyright, and trade secret lawsuits. Mr. Hunt provides companies of all sizes with counseling in the area of intellectual property. He provides counsel to clients in the areas of patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and licensing. Mr. Hunt has authored numerous papers which have been published in national and local publications on various intellectual property matters, including formulating trade secret protection programs and the use of experts in litigation. Mr. Hunt has lectured widely to many groups, including national trade associations. He has participated in international conferences concerning a wide scope of intellectual property issues. Mr. Hunt is a member of the Illinois State and Indiana State Bar Associations and is licensed to practice in the states of Indiana and Illinois, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and in several federal courts throughout the country. He served as the Indiana Chair of the 7th Circuit Bar Association's Committee on Technology. Mr. Hunt is also a board member of Techlaw Group, Inc. He received his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1990 and joined Barnes & Thornburg LLP as an associate upon graduation.
