Experience

Paul H. Chipok received his B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University and his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law. He brings to the firm over 13 years experience in the public sector concentrating in land use and environmental issues, with ten of those years serving the Central Florida community with the Orange County Attorney's office. Paul joined the full-service firm of GrayRobinson in the first quarter of 1999.

· In addition to representation of numerous private sector clients, Paul represents several public sector clients, serving as counsel to the Volusia Growth Management Commission, DeLand Code Enforcement Special Magistrate, and Haines City Assistant City Attorney for Code Enforcement

· Assistant County Attorney, Orange County, Land Use and Environmental Division (April 1989 to March 1999)

· Zoning, planning and development matters, including permitting, comprehensive planning, transportation planning, developers agreements, and developments of regional impact

· Development and implementation of ordinances, including Comprehensive Plan Vested Rights, Concurrency Management, Telecommunications Towers, Impact Fee updates, and the Horizon West sector planning

· Represented County Staff and assisted Code Enforcement Officers with presentation of cases before the Code Enforcement Board

· Served as a local government representative on the committee jointly sponsored by the Florida League Cities, Florida Association of Counties and the Florida Telecommunications Industry Association to determine alternatives to state legislation regarding wireless communication facilities siting

· Coordinated administration of County's Special Master program for Vested Rights and represented County's interest in those hearings

· Assistant County Attorney, Lee County, Land Use Division (November 1986 to March 1989)

· Advising the Local Planning Agency and Board of County Commissioners in preparation of the Comprehensive Plan

· Counsel to the Board of Zoning Adjustment and Construction Licensing Board
