Paul H. Saint-Antoine is a partner in the firm's Litigation Department and a co-chair of the Antitrust Practice Group.
Areas of Concentration. Paul concentrates his practice on antitrust litigation and counseling. In addition to his experience in federal enforcement actions, Paul has represented numerous corporate clients on both sides of private antitrust litigation, extending to products and services in the pharmaceutical, computer, software, paper, telecommunications and healthcare sectors, and to charges of price fixing, price discrimination, group boycotts, unlawful mergers and other sorts of anticompetitive conduct. His class action experience includes representing defendants in In re Linerboard, In re Pharmacy Benefit Managers Antitrust Litigation, In re Oriented Strand Board and Dentsply. Paul has also counseled clients on a variety of antitrust issues, particularly those in the high tech sector and involving intellectual property licensing, and he has helped a number of the firm's clients establish antitrust compliance programs.
Education. Paul graduated summa cum laude from Kenyon College in 1986, with highest honors and distinction in economics and distinction in history. He was awarded the Economics Prize and the Williams Award for interdisciplinary study. In 1989, he earned his law degree from Columbia University, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, as well as a member of the Harlem Tutorial Program and Legal Advocates for the Homeless.
Professional Activities. Paul is a former vice chair of the Computer and Internet Committee and a current co-chair of the Intellectual Property Committee of the ABA's Antitrust Section. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Paul has written and spoken extensively on the topic of the application of the antitrust laws to intellectual property transactions. He served as editor-in-chief of Federal Antitrust Guidelines for the Licensing of Intellectual Property, Origins and Applications (Second Edition), an antitrust handbook published by the American Bar Association. Since 2003, Paul has been identified by Chambers & Partners USA as one of the leading antitrust attorneys in Pennsylvania.
Civic Activities. Paul is currently a member of the Board of PILCOP, the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia.
