Paul Brown has practiced law at Owen Bird since 1990. Paul became a partner in 1996 and a shareholder in 2005 when Owen Bird was converted to a corporation. Paul has been a Managing Partner and has served on numerous Owen Bird committees.
Paul has a broad practice that encompasses all aspects of commercial real estate and business transactions, and corporate and commercial matters.
Paul has been involved in some of British Columbia's most significant commercial transactions, including the devolution of the Vancouver International Airport (YVR), the acquisition and financing of General Motors Place (home of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks and formerly home of the NBA's Vancouver Grizzlies), and a multi-billion dollar swap of communication and cablevision assets between Shaw and Rogers.
Paul acts for Canadian and U.S. clients, both private and public. He has acted for land owners, land developers, commercial landlords and tenants, investors, hotel and resort owners, utilities, broadcasting and communication companies, lenders and borrowers, insurance brokers, insurance adjusters, helicopter companies, fabricators, manufacturers, healthcare providers, retailers and wholesalers. He has also acted as special counsel to the B.C. Ministry of Transportation on various infrastructure projects and public private partnerships.

Paul was born, raised and educated in Vancouver and resides with his family in North Vancouver.
