Paul J. Buser

Nationally renowned as a lecturer and writer in the field of Family Law, Mr. Buser has the rare ability to mediate, arbitrate, litigate and negotiate complex estate and business matters based on community property law, marital property and probate law systems. He has been named in Best 43 Divorce Lawyers in America, National Law Journal; He also has recently received an Award of Excellence from the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers for his service of 10 years as an Editorial Board Member of the Academy's journal, and in Nation's Best 88 Family and Matrimonial Lawyers, Town and Country Magazine. Mr. Buser is as well an advocate for vulnerable or incapacitated clients who are financially exploited by persons who serve in a fiduciary capacity. He has served as Chair of the Elder Law Committee of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and as general editor of the Academy's Special Journal issue focusing on problems of the Impaired Matrimonial Client. Mr. Buser is a diplomat of: the Arizona College of Trial Advocacy; the American Bar Association's course on family law mediation; the Northwest Institute for Dispute Resolution (business arbitration) and the Pepperdine University Law School Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution (business arbitration). Mr. Buser has written extensively for various professional journals and has presented nationally before Continuing Education Legal Education forums. He has published legal writings for Family Business Journal, the Journal of the Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the American Bar Association Family Advocate and Family Law Quarterly, and Arizona Senior World. He currently serves as editor-in-chief of the online "The Arizona Business Lawyer," for 11 years, legal magazine of the Business Law Section of the Arizona State Bar Association and on the Editorial Board of "Divorce Litigation," a national legal publication. Mr. Buser currently is a board member of the "Valley of the Sun" Chapter of the national Society of Professional Journalists."
