Paul is Counsel in the Restructuring & Insolvency Department. He focuses his practice on bankruptcy-related matters including the representation of insurance companies, banking institutions, private equity and other funds, and movie studios, in all aspects of the administration of corporate debtors' estates, including the sale of corporate assets, labor and employment matters, supply contracts and rebates, and tax disputes. In addition, Paul handles various types of commercial litigation in both state and federal courts.
Notable Experience
· Retained by a consortium of insurance companies to represent a supplier of goods subject to product liability claims in excess of $150 million, which asserted contribution and indemnity claims against chapter 11 debtor-manufacturer, resulting in substantial reduction of liability to supplier.
· Represented a large mutual/ insurance company in seeking to have its late filed claims allowed in one of the largest chapter 11 cases in history.
· Represented a private equity fund in buying claims out of a state insurance insolvency proceeding.
· Assisted in litigation involving fraud against several corporate entities by insiders, resulting in a settlement of over $9 million dollars.
· Counseled a chapter 11 trustee in the sale of various franchises to a private equity firm.
· Successfully defended a Litigation Trustee in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
· Counseled a national floor plan financier in various bankruptcy matters throughout the tri-state area.

Before Edwards Wildman
Prior to joining the Firm, Paul worked closely with Cory A. Booker, the mayor of Newark, New Jersey, in both Mr. Booker's law practice and on his successful mayoral campaign. In addition, Paul has received awards and recognition from both the City of Newark, New Jersey and Essex County, New Jersey, for his work in providing legal representation to the less fortunate.
Besides Edwards Wildman
Paul enjoys golf and tennis although is not remotely respectable at either. Paul also enjoys photography and performing stand-up comedy in various New York City comedy clubs.
