Penny Yeager's practice focuses on mining and business law, much of it working with major potash and uranium mining companies. Penny's transactional experience includes joint ventures, mineral disposition purchases and sales, mineral leases, and marketing arrangements. She has a comprehensive understanding of Saskatchewan mineral legislation.
Penny's potash-related work includes negotiating mineral lease and purchase arrangements with large corporations, drafting mineral swap agreements, working with storage and distribution agreements, considering potash royalty and unitization issues, and conducting extensive due diligence examinations. She has also assisted with surface land acquisitions and mineral dispute resolution.
Penny's corporate practice also includes mergers and acquisitions, and Competition Act matters.
Representative Work
· Transaction documents such as joint ventures, purchase and sale agreements, option agreements and royalty agreements for significant players in the uranium, potash and coal mining industries.
· Counsel on regular operations for one of the world's largest potash producers.
