Peter B. Work has been with Crowell & Moring and predecessor firms since 1968 and is currently a senior counsel in the Washington, DC office. He was one of Crowell & Moring's founders and was also a founder and co-chairman of the firm's Litigation Group. Mr. Work specializes in business litigation, and his work is concentrated in the areas of commercial contracts, commercial torts, antitrust, government contracts, and matters arising under the False Claims Act. He has extensive experience in federal and state judicial forums at the trial and appellate levels and also extensive experience with various forms of alternative dispute resolution techniques, including minitrials, arbitrations, and mediations. In addition, Mr. Work has considerable experience with administrative and regulatory litigation and with appeals from administrative and regulatory decisions. Mr. Work graduated from DePauw University (B.A.) in 1961, and the University of Chicago Law School (J.D.) in 1964. Following his graduation from law school, and before satisfying a prior military commitment, Mr. Work practiced with the Denver, Colorado law firm of Holme, Roberts & Owen. From 1965 through 1968, Mr. Work served on active duty as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, including a tour in Vietnam.
