Peter R. Bulmer
Mr. Bulmer represents management nationwide in all facets of employment and labor law. He counsels management on employment matters and preventive measures to avoid litigation and, where litigation cannot be avoided, he defends employers before state and federal administrative agencies and courts. He also represents employers in prosecuting and defending claims of unlawful competition.
Mr. Bulmer has been named one of Illinois' “Super Lawyers” (a distinction accorded no more than 5% of Illinois lawyers) each year since the inception of that award, and has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America each year since 2012. He is also Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rated (“highest level of professional excellence”).
Mr. Bulmer is a featured speaker and author on employment law topics and a past chair of a national association of labor and employment lawyers.
Mr. Bulmer is admitted to practice in Illinois, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois, the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the Northern District of Indiana, the Districts of Nebraska and Colorado, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Bulmer earned his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D., cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Creighton Law Review.
