Pilar focuses her practice primarily on patent infringement litigation, trade secret and complex corporate and commercial litigation matters in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the Delaware Court of Chancery. She has also supported the firm's Bankruptcy section with bankruptcy-related litigation and in representing corporations as debtors-in-possession in chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. Pilar is a certified mediator for the Superior Court of Delaware.
She is a member of the firm's Recruiting Committee and a co-author of the Delaware IP Law Blog, www.delawareiplaw.com.
During law school, Pilar was an extern for the Honorable Henry duPont Ridgely of the Supreme Court of Delaware. She also served as a member of the University of Pittsburgh's Journal of Technology Law & Policy and worked in the law school's Elder Law Clinic.

Prior Employment
Prior to law school, Pilar worked primarily in the social science research field. Most recently, she worked as a research analyst for The Council of State Governments where she studied issues and trends impacting state governments and proposed policy options.
