Plunkett & Gibson, Inc. formed by six attorneys in November 1979, because of their personal and professional respect for one another. Their individual and collective legal expertise and their desire for the best professional standards provided the core for one of San Antonio's most highly respected law firms. The firm's primary areas of practice include personal injury, product liability, medical and professional malpractice, bankruptcy, fidelity, surety, and commercial litigation.

The principals in Plunkett & Gibson, Inc., range in age from 35 to 66 years. The firm currently consists of fourteen shareholders, two associates and one of counsel attorneys. All attorneys are encouraged in the cooperative interchange of strategies and innovative ideas, which when combined with energetic work habits, is an integral part of the firm's personality. Attorneys in the firm have lectured and published extensively throughout the State of Texas and have served as officers and directors in local, state and national legal organizations. The firm also encourages its attorneys to actively continue their legal education and has established an in-house training program covering all aspects of trial preparation and presentation. Each associate is motivated to develop his or her particular area of interest under the tutelage of more experienced attorneys. Associates also are encouraged to assume responsibility quickly and to become directly involved in client matters.
