Services Available
We offer the following services to the real estate and construction industry:
- Transactions--Negotiating contracts involving industrial, commercial and residential property. Assisting buyers and sellers in financing and other matters, up to and through closing.
- Land Use--Assisting clients with regulatory compliance, including engaging appropriate experts and obtaining approvals from local, state and federal agencies.
- Redevelopment--Providing in-depth advice on how to obtain "in need of redevelopment" and "redeveloper" designations, and all required permits and approvals. We also negotiate complex redeveloper agreements.
- Litigation--Litigating at the state and federal level all aspects of real estate, commercial and construction disputes, including but not limited to prerogative writ, construction defect and breach of contract actions.
- Construction Contracting--Drafting and negotiating all types of construction contracts on behalf of owners, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals, utilizing both industry standard and tailored contracts.
- Environmental--Providing counsel regarding regulatory compliance, obtaining environmental approvals from state and federal agencies, and counseling on the structuring of transactions to streamline environmental issues. We also work with NJDEP to gain expedited approvals and available public funding of redevelopment projects with remediation needs.
- Bankruptcy--Helping clients protect their interests when dealing with entities that file for bankruptcy.
- Intellectual Property--Assisting clients in registering and trademarking company names or projects, negotiating license and other agreements, and litigating and mediating disputes.
- Employment--Assisting clients with developing employee manuals, policies and procedures, defending against employee claims of discrimination, and negotiating severance packages.
- Corporate--Assisting clients in selecting and creating appropriate business entities including limited liability companies, corporations and partnerships. We also prepare required documents such as bylaws and corporate governance documents, and assist with mergers and acquisitions.
