Experience

The strength of Potter Anderson & Corroon lies with its very talented and knowledgeable attorneys. Two of the firm's attorney's are the authors of Corporate and Commercial Practice in the Delaware Court of Chancery (Lexis Law Publishing), the first treatise of its kind on the Court of Chancery, one of the nation's most respected courts and frequently cited by the courts of Delaware. Another attorney is the author of a comprehensive study of corporate and commercial privilege issues litigated in the Delaware courts, Privileged Communications and the Delaware Corporation (CCH). Three of the firm's other attorneys authored chapters in a comprehensive treatise on different aspects of the relationship between inside and outside counsel. The treatise, Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel, combines the wisdom of 80 Fortune 500 General Counsels and their law firm partners. Leadership

The firm's attorneys have served as members of the Delaware Court of Chancery—considered the leading business court in the country—as well as the Delaware Supreme Court. They also have held key positions with the American and Delaware State Bar Associations.

Currently, partners of the firm serve as members of the Council of the Corporation Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association, playing an integral role in updating and shaping Delaware's General Corporation Law.

Our attorneys are also members of the Partnership and Statutory Trust Committees, which are responsible for drafting and updating the Delaware Revised Uniform Limited Partnership Act, the Delaware Revised Uniform Partnership Act, the Delaware Limited Liability Company Act, and the Delaware Statutory Trust Act-some of Delaware's most important statutes.

The firm's attorneys also have played a continuous role in the rule-making arms of the Delaware trial and appellate courts, including on the Supreme Court Rules Committee and the Delaware District Court Advisory Committee.

Seven Potter Anderson & Corroon partners have served as President of the Delaware State Bar Association. The firm also has the largest private law firm library in the State of Delaware, with a full-time library staff to assist attorneys and clients visiting the firm.
