The International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law is an International non-governmental association of judges, legislators, lawyers, academics, police and governmental officials who have come together to work actively on the administration of criminal justice both in their own jurisdictions and internationally.
In addition to encouraging members to develop their individual interests in criminal justice, the Society provides a network to support such interests and develop joint research and criminal justice policy developments among individuals and government bodies from different jurisdictions.
The Society participates as a professional organization in the work of the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme and is a partner (along with the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University) in the International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy, an Inter-Regional Institute of the U.N. Criminal Justice program, located at Vancouver, Canada.
