Bar Profile:
Established in 1897 as a professional organization to maintain high standards in the legal profession, the Colorado Bar Association serves as a center for social and professional contact.

Through the years, the CBA has provided members with many opportunities to improve their legal skills, to engage in public service and to participate in the legal profession's statewide organization.

Four out of every five of the active lawyers registered in Colorado belong to the CBA. The Association is directed by a diverse group, the Board of Governors, representing the 27 affiliate local bar associations, the law schools, the courts, every minority and specialty bar association and various segments of the legal community.

Continuing Legal Education in Colorado, Inc. ("CLECI") is the nonprofit corporation organized to serve as the educational arm of the CBA. CLECI offers a full range of educational services including live programs, audio and video tapes, publications and consulting services.

In addition to offering programs for its members, the CBA conducts activities which have a positive influence in a variety of law-related areas. The public service activities of the CBA create a better understanding of the law and provide legal assistance to the community.
