Improvement of the professional knowledge and skill of the members of the NSBA in the agriculture law field, which includes relating to: (a) agriculture generally, that is the science and art of production of plants and animals useful to the human community, (b) agricultural economics (c) agricultural credit and security; (d) governmental regulation; (e) commercial transaction: (f) agricultural cooperatives; (g) agricultural taxation; and (h) environmental controls and civil liailities.

ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Studies the different alternatives for dispute resolution and the circumstances in which they are likely to work, in a manner consistent with both recognized concepts of due process and the efficient administration of justice. Section also makes recommendations with respect to the promotion and implementation of various means of dispute resolution to the Executive Council and the House of Delegates. It performs other functions as assigned by the Executive Council or President.

NEBRASKA CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION (NCLE)

PUBLIC INTEREST LAW
This section is comprised of lawyers who practice or have an interest in using public interest law to create a more just society. The section provides a common forum for exchanging ideas among public interest practitioners. Among other activities, members of the section study proposals and make recommendations in an effort to facilitate the delivery of legal services to clients in Nebraska in various areas, including but not limited to the areas of poverty law, disability rights, civil liberties and civil rights, sexual and domestic violence victims' advocacy, prisoners' rights, and the rights of immigrants. The section also focuses its attention on other communities who are indigent, powerless or whose legal needs are unserved or underserved. The section seeks to be a resource for lawyers whose practice serves the public interest, whether they are employed within an advocacy organization or are providing pro bono services to clients.

SECURITIES LAW
This section is comprised of lawyers who practice or have an interest in securities law. The section provides a common forum for exchanging ideas. It promotes and provides continuing education in the field of securities law and fosters excellence and professionalism in the practice. The section reviews proposed legislation being considered by the State Legislature which impacts the Securities Act of Nebraska and related statutory provisions, as well as proposes legislative or regulatory revisions to state securities laws which it deems appropriate based on input from section members. The section also works with the Nebraska Department of Banking, Bureau of Securities, in reviewing and commenting on proposed legislation and regulations affecting the securities law practice in Nebraska.

TAXATION
