Counsel to Metals USA in its successful Chapter 11 reorganization, accomplished in eleven months in Houston. The case began with successful cash collateral litigation, progressed to a successful debtor-in-possession loan, progressed through ten asset sales raising over $100 million, leading to reduction of Bank Group debt by one half, and the Creditors Committee agreeing to a plan of reorganization converting approximately $400 million of unsecured debt into equity in the reorganized company. Metals USA now has the best balance sheet in its industry.
