| Biography | Steve Carroll represents businesses and individuals in a wide range of corporate and real estate matters. He has extensive experience representing international, national, regional and local companies in mergers and acquisition transactions. He has also represented numerous lenders and borrowers in asset-based and real estate financing transactions. In addition to his transaction-specific representation, Mr. Carroll's practice also involves general corporate counseling and advice, entity structuring, formation and organization, contracting and dispute resolution. Mr. Carroll is also a member of the Miles & Stockbridge Real Estate group. In that facet of Mr. Carroll's practice, he represents purchasers and sellers of all types of commercial real estate and commercial landlords and tenants in the drafting and negotiation of office and retail leases. Frequently teaming with other Miles & Stockbridge lawyers who have extensive experience in complimentary legal disciplines, Mr. Carroll represents a broad array of clients, including manufacturers, distributors, property owners, developers, government contractors, banks, service providers and medical practices. Mr. Carroll has been associated with Miles & Stockbridge since December 1991, initially as an associate with the Columbia, Maryland law firm of Levan, Schimel, Belman & Abramson, P.A., which merged with Miles & Stockbridge in 1996. Prior to joining Levan, Schimel, Belman & Abramson, P.A., Mr. Carroll was an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Reed Smith Shaw & McClay from 1987 to 1991.
