Rachel Laferrière is a partner in our Litigation Group in Montréal. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, class actions and professional liability.
Ms. Laferrière was retained by a major Canadian telecommunications organization to assist them with a significant class action. Afterwards, she spent nine months on secondment with the organization.
Ms. Laferrière also represents professionals who are sued for liability or malpractice before civil courts and represents their interests before disciplinary committees. Finally, she acts on behalf of various companies in areas as diverse as contractual liability, construction or trade secrets protection.
Ms. Laferrière began her practice in 2001 with a private law firm, practising primarily in commercial litigation. She joined McCarthy Tétrault in 2006, and was named partner in 2009.
Ms. Laferrière received her LLB in civil law from the Université de Montréal with distinction in 2000, and was called to the Québec bar in 2001.
