Regina Lutz focuses her practice in the area of intellectual property law. She handles patent litigations for clients primarily in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and chemical fields. She also has experience with licensing, client counseling, legal opinions, and patent prosecution.
Prior to joining Cadwalader, Regina was in-house patent counsel at a generic pharmaceutical company, where she participated in all aspects of generic product development, from analysis of the intellectual property landscape upon product inception to drafting ANDA patent certifications to the FDA, including Paragraph IV certifications. Prior to that, Regina was an associate at Morgan & Finnegan, LLP, where she focused on patent litigation matters for numerous clients in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and chemical fields.
Regina earned her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law, where she was the recipient of the Citation of Excellence for Intellectual Property Law, and her B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Scranton.
She is admitted to practice in New York, and she is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
