Experience As a Shareholder of the firm, Richard practices in the Corporate Law department dealing with a broad range of corporate, securities and other business matters. He is a member of the GrayRobinson Technology Team and has experience in representing both public and private companies in many areas, including the formation and governance of corporate, partnership and other business organizations; the purchase and sale of stock, businesses or assets; mergers and acquisitions and dispositions; equity and debt financings, whether through private placements or public offerings; federal and state securities regulation; venture capital investments; recapitalizations; franchising; licensing; and the drafting of a broad range of commercial, employment and shareholder agreements. Richard is also a Certified Public Accountant and uses this background to complement his law practice. Background Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1969, Richard was raised in Orlando where he graduated from West Orange High School in 1987. Richard received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, with honors, from the University of Florida in 1991, and a Masters degree in Accounting from UF, with honors in 1992. Richard joined GrayRobinson after clerking with the firm in 1994 and receiving his law degree, with honors, from the University of Florida College of Law in 1995. Richard and his wife Kim, also a West Orange High School and University of Florida graduate, have two children.
