Rich King, a Director at Galloway Johnson, litigates disputes in all Louisiana and Mississippi courts and is also licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Rich has vast experience in the areas of Professional Liability, Insurance Coverage, Bad-Faith, Property and Construction Law, Employment Law, Entertainment Law, Commercial Litigation while continuing to practice in the areas of Environmental/Toxic Tort liability, Subrogation, Trucking and Transportation and General Casualty defense. With vast experience in Property and Construction Law, Rich also acts as an appraiser and umpire pursuant to the terms of first-party property policies.
Over the years, Rich has lectured to several organizations and clients on a variety of subjects and issues including but not limited to, Property, Bad-Faith, Construction, Professional Negligence, Alternative Dispute Resolutions, Trial Tactics and General Litigation. Rich has also published an article on professional negligence for architects and engineers in Louisiana entitled, Recent developments in Louisiana law: Study of amendments to an engineer's friend - LRS 9:2772 in The Louisiana Civil Engineer in February 2007 and drafted the Louisiana chapter of DRI's 2010 Construction Law Desk Reference published in February 2010, as well as an article titled, Bad Faith Allegations in Commercial Claims, for the May 2011 issue of Claims Magazine.
Rich is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, Mississippi Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Defense Research Institute (DRI), the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the National Association of Subrogation Professional (NASP) the Property Loss Research Bureau (PLRB), is the Louisiana co-chair for the Council on Litigation Management (CLM), the co-chair of the CLM Professional Liability Sub-Committee, and a 2012 and 2013 Super Lawyer.
