| Biography | Rick has more than 25 years of concentrated experience in the area of federal income taxation, including extensive research and involvement in addressing a wide variety of federal income tax issues relating to tax-exempt organizations qualification, public charity versus private foundation classification, unrelated business income tax, unrelated debt-financed income, private benefit and private inurement issues, and Section 501(c)(3) bond issues. Rick regularly represents clients in obtaining recognition of tax-exempt status and private letter rulings from the IRS on a variety of tax issues. He also represents major exempt organizations involved in IRS audits and has negotiated favorable settlements for a number of complex issues relating to business income and employment taxes.
