As a partner at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, Mr. Needham represented clients in a wide variety of real estate and corporate matters. Respected for his business and deal making skills, Mr. Needham was invited by a client to partner in a real estate development company. Mr. Needham accepted and spent 7 years as a principal in a real estate development company, specializing in medical office buildings and other healthcare real estate. As a real estate developer, Mr. Needham was responsible for handling all aspects of project development, including feasibility studies, site selection, due diligence, land acquisition, budgeting, financing, project design, entitlement, value engineering, construction, marketing, leasing, tenant relations, property management, and disposition for over 700,000 square feet of commercial buildings.
As an entrepreneur developer and consumer of legal services himself for 7 years, Mr. Needham is sensitive to delivering quality legal services to clients in a responsive and cost effective manner. He understands how a lawyer can add value to a deal and to a client's business.
Mr. Needham focuses on commercial real estate. His experience encompasses a wide range of transactional real estate matters, including acquisition, entitlement, development, construction financing, permanent financing, joint ventures, leasing, and disposition. He represents developers, investors, borrowers, lenders, companies, non-profits, cities and redevelopment agencies handling their real estate needs in all product types, including medical office, professional office, retail, industrial and senior care.
As both attorney and developer, Mr. Needham has extensive experience in programming, designing, entitling, financing, developing, leasing and managing both on and off-campus medical office buildings and other healthcare real estate. He also has experience master planning hospital campuses. Mr. Needham now represents healthcare real estate developers, senior care developers, payers, hospitals, physician groups and other healthcare providers.
