Robert C. Bauroth, a partner in the Fort Lauderdale office, has been with Wicker Smith since the start of his legal career.

Over the past 30 years, he has concentrated his civil trial practice in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death involving various types of cases including construction related accidents, automobile accidents, premises liability, products liability, toxic torts, bad faith, professional liability and accidents relating to road construction.

In addition to working on general aviation accidents and litigation, Mr. Bauroth has been involved in a number of major aviation accidents and air disasters, including the 1996 Valujet crash in the Florida Everglades, the 1997 Comair crash, the 2001 entertainer Aaliyah crash in the Bahamas, and the 2005 Chalks seaplane crash that occurred in the Miami harbor. His achievements in aviation law have earned him recognition in the South Florida Legal Guide's ranking of Top Lawyers in Florida for Aviation and Professional Liability, annually since 2005. He has also been rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating awarded by that organization.

Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Mr. Bauroth graduated from Duke University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts. He worked full-time at Travelers Insurance and Kemper Insurance while going at night to the University of Miami School of Law. He earned his Juris Doctor in 1979 and was admitted to practice in the state of Florida that same year.

Mr. Bauroth is an active member of The Florida Bar, Broward County Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute.
