Robert Foote concentrates his practice on dispute resolution, with a particular emphasis on complex commercial and securities litigation. He represents a broad range of clients, including corporations, financial institutions, directors, officers, and individuals in a variety of state and federal court matters. He has been involved in and taken a leadership role in numerous cases involving contractual disputes and breaches of fiduciary duties, as well as shareholder derivative actions, complex commercial real property litigation, and actions involving the Uniform Commercial Code. He has a broad range of experience with all aspects of litigation practice, including extensive trial and appellate experience. Robbie is also experienced with alternative dispute resolution forums including domestic and international arbitration settings.
Robbie is also involved in the firm's pro bono practice, advising the firm's pro bono clients on complex litigation matters, governmental investigations, and employment matters, including matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Prior to joining Cadwalader, Robbie served as law clerk for the Honorable James E. Graham of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. Robbie is admitted to practice in New York and Georgia.
Robbie received his J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2005, where he served as a Managing Editor of the Emory International Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from Emory University in 2001.
