The office was opened in April 2004. Mr. Buchanan's practice focuses on commercial real estate, commercial litigation, corporate and estate planning matters. Prior to opening the office, Mr. Buchanan was a partner of Hermes Sargent Bates, L.L.P. from January 2000 through March 2004. Mr. Buchanan began his legal career as an associate with Cowles & Thompson, P.C. in 1987. Mr. Buchanan was a shareholder of Cowles & Thompson, P.C. from January 1995 through December 1999.
Mr. Buchanan received his bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from Washington & Lee University in 1984. Mr. Buchanan received his law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1987. Mr. Buchanan is a member of the Dallas County Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas.
