Bob Smith practices in the areas of estate planning and estate and trust administration. He assists individuals in planning for the distribution of their assets at death and in formulating arrangements designed to minimize death taxes, lifetime transfer taxes, and income taxes. Mr. Smith is active in the settlement of estates, representing both corporate and individual executors before the Internal Revenue Service, the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services, and the probate courts. His practice also involves questions of present and deferred charitable giving, trust law, conservatorships, guardianships, and other fiduciary relationships. Mr. Smith acts as counsel to tax-exempt entities and is active as a volunteer in several community organizations.
