Robert brings more than 45 years of transactional experience to the firm's Real Estate, Development & Construction industry team. Robert represents developers and other real estate clients in the acquisition, financing, development, construction and sale of all types of properties. His work has included:
•Representing a national real estate firm in the acquisition and development of commercial real estate properties.
•Representing a subsidiary of a Fortune 200 company in providing mezzanine and other equity in real estate projects in several states.
•Representing developers of residential lots for sale to builders.
•Representing the developers of three downtown office buildings in Austin, Texas, in several matters related to the projects.
On behalf of clients in the construction industry, Robert has represented property owners and construction companies, including both general contractors and highway contractors, in general business consultation, contract negotiation and preparation, litigation and other matters.
Robert also has extensive involvement in business counseling, complex contract negotiation and preparation, negotiation and settlement of business disputes in litigation, and mediation and arbitration. He has assisted with more than 100 mediations and arbitrations, acting as the mediator or arbitrator on a variety of matters. Robert also spent several years managing all legal aspects of a major client's business as outside general counsel.
