Rob Stanko is an associate in the Casualty Department, where he defends insureds and self-insured entities against claims in state and federal court related to product liability, premises liability and commercial transportation.Rob is responsible for identifying and implementing litigation strategies to accommodate the particular intricacies of each case he handles.He has thrived in this role, obtaining several summary judgments and successfully defending numerous matters at arbitration and trial.
Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Rob served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas G. Saylor, Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.Rob was responsible for drafting responsive and majority opinions, reviewing allocatur docket filings, and preparing bench memoranda.
Rob earned his undergraduate degree from Villanova University in 2005, and graduated from the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law in 2008. During law school, he interned for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Criminal Prosecutions Section, where he handled research assignments, drafted motions, and prepared legal memoranda for various criminal issues- most notably, public corruption.
Rob serves as the Chairman of the Editorial Board of Young Lawyer, a publication of the Legal Intelligencer, the oldest daily legal newspaper in the United States.In addition to being an avid golfer, Rob is the captain of the Marshall Dennehey basketball and softball teams.
