Rob Stanko is an associate in the Casualty Department, where he defends insureds and self-insured entities against claims in state and federal court related to product liability, premises liability and commercial transportation. Rob is responsible for identifying and implementing litigation strategies to accommodate the particular intricacies of each case he handles. He has thrived in this role, obtaining several summary judgments and successfully defending numerous matters at arbitration and trial.
Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Rob served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas G. Saylor, Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Rob was responsible for drafting responsive and majority opinions, reviewing allocatur docket filings, and preparing bench memoranda.
Rob earned his undergraduate degree from Villanova University in 2005, and graduated from the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law in 2008. During law school, he interned for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Criminal Prosecutions Section, where he handled research assignments, drafted motions, and prepared legal memoranda for various criminal issues - most notably, public corruption.
Rob serves as the Chairman of the Editorial Board of Young Lawyer, a publication of the Legal Intelligencer, the oldest daily legal newspaper in the United States. In addition to being an avid golfer, Rob is the captain of the Marshall Dennehey basketball and softball teams.

|Reported Cases||Significant Representative Matters: Sat second chair at a five-day jury trial in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, and played a vital role in securing a defense verdict on behalf of a commercial food product manufacturer in a case involving a partial hand-amputation; Obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a nationally recognized non-profit organization before a federal arbitration panel in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in a claim involving commercial transportation; Drafted a successful Motion for Judgment on the Pleadings in federal court, securing the dismissal of an international tour operator, in a complex death case sounding in maritime and admiralty law; Obtained multiple summary judgments on behalf of nationally recognized businesses with in the Philadelphia area involving premises liability matters; Secured a defense verdict on behalf of a transit authority in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas following a three day trial. The jury returned a verdict of no negligence, where the plaintiff was claiming permanent disability after live trolley wires fell and struck the vehicle he was in.|
