Representative Matters

• Assisted a telecommunications company with an emergency response effort when an employee erecting a cellular phone tower fell 180 feet to his death. Represented the company through all aspects of the OSHA investigation and subsequent lawsuit brought by the decedent's family. The firm minimized the client's liability exposure and worked cooperatively with OSHA to resolve the investigation, without a finding of fault or a statutory violation on behalf of the company
• Provide ongoing representation for a national telecommunications company on intellectual property and litigation matters
• Represented the largest owner of telecommunications towers in the U.S. in leasing, subleasing, acquisition, and disposition of cell tower sites
• Represent telecommunications services and products in state government affairs matters, including telecommunications laws and legislation, regulations, Public Utilities Commission dealings, and industry issues
• Provide counsel for telecommunications franchise agreements and tower zoning work
• Represented residential property owners in leasing residential property sites for telecommunications towers
• Drafted and negotiated agreements to provide integration and back-office services for vertical service providers (VSPs) thereby enabling VSPs to offer utility, telecommunication, and other services to customers
• Represented office property owners in leasing roof and building space for telecommunications antennas
• Represented telecommunications companies in various land use and zoning matters and responding to law enforcement subpoenas
