Mr. Warnicke is Of Counsel in the Phoenix office, and a member of the firm's Bankruptcy Litigation Department. Mr. Warnicke's practice is concentrated in areas of transactional and business litigation.
For more than thirty years, Mr. Warnicke has been involved in transactional and business litigation matters, and has represented a variety of businesses, including banks, savings and loan associations, mortgage companies, an airline, a regional hospital and a title insurance company, among others. For many years, he was the principal attorney for Nucarco, Visionary Vehicles, and REW Networks, LLC.
Mr. Warnicke has served on various governmental and political bodies, including: the Governor's Council on Health, the Governor's Blue Ribbon Commission on State Land and the Phoenix Freeway Committee. Mr. Warnicke was appointed by Judge Bilby to serve as the examiner in the American Continental bankruptcy proceeding of 1989. Mr. Warnicke became the first quasi-judicial official to return a finding of fraud involving Charles Keating. Mr. Warnicke has also served as debtors' and creditors' counsel, as well as on official creditors' committees, and in a variety of successful Chapter 11 reorganizations, including Texscan and Circle K.
Prior to joining Gordon Silver, Mr. Warnicke was a shareholder at Warnicke & Littler, P.L.C.
Mr. Warnicke was listed in the first edition of Best Lawyers in America (1986), and has continually maintained Martindale-Hubbell's highest attorney rating. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of lawsuits involving alleged state and federal securities law violations. He has also served as an arbitrator in NASD proceedings. He received an award from the United States Chess Federation for outstanding contributions to scholastic chess.
Of particular note, Mr. Warnicke was honored to have served as the first chief of staff to Governor Bruce Babbitt from 1978-1979.
