Ronald Basso

Ronald Basso works primarily with clients that are public companies or are in the process of "going public," including clients with securities registered on the New York Stock Exchange, Inc. or American Stock Exchange, Inc. or listed for trading with The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc.

Ronald is co-chair of the firm's Corporate Finance & Technology Section.

His experience with such clients is transactional as well as regulatory. During his career, Ronald has managed numerous merger and acquisition and capital-raising transactions including tender offers, traditional bank financings and public and private offerings (including Rule 144A transactions) of debt and equity securities.

Ronald enjoys a diverse practice due to the varying size of the firm's clients and the variety of businesses in which these companies are involved. Additionally, each client's needs differ, requiring specific skills depending upon the breadth and scope of legal services required and the level of expertise that the client possesses "in house."

Sometimes, Ronald is asked to act as co-counsel with a company's general counsel to provide the specific securities law experience and knowledge unavailable to such counsel. He enjoys developing long-term relationships with clients through assisting them in completing transactions and in meeting ongoing securities law compliance requirements both for the company itself and for its principals.

Ronald has lectured at many continuing legal education and client presentations regarding a variety of corporate and securities topics including mergers and acquisitions and Sarbanes-Oxley matters.

In 2006 and 2007, Ronald was selected for the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® list. In 2006, he was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America.
