Rosemary L. Corsetti has a broad-based background in commercial litigation as well as health care and many phases of nonprofit corporation law. She has experience in acquisitions and mergers, and has been the group's primary attorney responsible for coordinating transactions on a national basis to bring them to closure. She also has experience in corporate governance and reorganization and in general corporate practice. Rosemary historically has represented not-for-profit health care systems as they have reorganized nationally and in transactions with for-profit corporations, including the formation of foundations. She used her many years of mergers and acquisitions experience to help form a national for-profit chain of long-term care corporations. As a result of this experience, in 2001, Rosemary was named vice president, secretary and general counsel of Tandem Health Care, Inc., a national chain of 77 long-term care facilities. She shared her time between her active practice at Buchanan and Tandem for five-and-one-half years, until Tandem's stock was sold in 2006. Rosemary currently holds the title of executive vice president and general counsel of Covenant Dove Holding Company, LLC, a new chain of nursing homes in 12 states. Rosemary represents religious congregations and their incorporated apostolates, national health care systems, individual hospitals, social service organizations, long-term care facilities, colleges, universities, high schools and day care centers. She represents foundations that have been formed as a result of the sale of not-for-profit health care entities. She is also involved in representing religious congregations on a national basis as they reconfigure their provinces or entire congregational structures. Rosemary has a comprehensive knowledge of the interface of canon law as it affects the transactions that she leads. She works side-by-side with canonists both outside of and within Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney on virtually all transactions dealing with religiously affiliated entities. Due to her broad-based background, Rosemary maintains a smaller general practice as well, which includes estate planning and probate activities. She has also been a speaker at many health care events concerning mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, corporate structures and reorganizations, the inter-relationship of civil law with religiously affiliated entities and other topics. In addition to her degrees, Rosemary conducted post-graduate study in ecclesiastical law at Duquesne University.
