Ross Hunt, an electrical engineer, has built a patent law career that spans over 40 years. He is a Registered U.S. Patent Attorney. After working as a Patent Examiner during law school, Mr. Hunt briefly served as patent attorney for General Electric Co., and then joined the prestigious Intellectual Property boutique of Larson & Taylor. Mr. Hunt was a senior partner with that firm when it merged with Stites & Harbison in January 2004. Mr. Hunt's practice focuses mostly in the fields of electronic, electrical and electromechanical inventions, including telecommunications and computers. He counsels clients on Intellectual Property matters, including patent infringement and validity. He currently spends a substantial amount of his time on IP litigation. Recent Assignments · Assisted client in maintaining a multi-million dollar patent royalty stream from a Fortune 500 corporation · Assisted another client in obtaining a $6 million-plus patent royalty from another Fortune 500 corporation Before Stites & Harbison Mr. Hunt worked for the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office as a Patent Examiner after earning his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering. He had a brief stint as patent attorney with General Electric before joining Larson & Taylor in 1966. More than Stites & Harbison Civic and community involvement has included the Alexandria Businessman's Club, the Young Patent Lawyers Club and the Jaycees.
