| Additional Bio Details | Russell M. Aoki brings nearly 25 years of legal experience to his practice. His practice areas include criminal defense, business litigation, and personal injury claims, and most recently, the Administrative Office of the U.S. District Court, Defender Services appointed Mr. Aoki as Coordinating Discovery Expert for major criminal cases prosecuted in the U.S. District Courts of the 9th and 10th Circuit. Mr. Aoki?s criminal practice focuses on representing persons charged with Securities Fraud, Bank Fraud, Mortgage Fraud, Tax Fraud, Money Laundering, Murder, and Drug Offenses.
During his career, Mr. Aoki has served as judge pro tem, mediator, arbitrator, and Special Master. He has achieved the AV rating, the highest rating for legal abilities by Martindale Hubbell. Mr. Aoki has also been acknowledged by numerous legal associations and organizations as one of the foremost lawyers in criminal defense. He has been named one of the top 25 Criminal Defense Attorneys in Washington State by Washington Law & Politics every year from 2006 to 2010. Seattle Magazine, which recognizes outstanding lawyers based on ?peer recognition and professional achievement,? selected Mr. Aoki in 2010 as a top attorney in criminal defense.
Mr. Aoki recently completed a three year term on the Washington State Bar Association?s Board of Governors, during which he also served as the State Bar Treasurer. Mr. Aoki was the Washington State Supreme Court?s appointee to the Office of Public Defense Advisory Committee for twelve years. He is the past Board President of Northwest Defender Association, past President of the Asian Bar Association of Washington and a past Trustee of the King County Bar Association. |
