    Biography

    Ruth Zadikany is a Litigation & Dispute Resolution associate in Mayer Brown's Los Angeles office. She has represented clients in state and federal court in a broad range of labor and employment disputes, as well as complex litigation matters, including class action defense. Ruth's experience includes the defense of wage and hour class action claims involving meal and rest break violations, failure to pay overtime, work-off-the-clock, rounding and expense reimbursement. Ruth also has experience with matters involving contract disputes, fraud, false advertising, unfair competition, unfair business practices claims, and attorney ethics. Ruth has worked with national employers in various industries, including manufacturing, technology, advertising, and food industry clients.

    Ruth has second-chair mediation experience in labor and employment matters. She has worked with employers to review and improve their wage and hour practices. She also has experience in all aspects of litigation, including managing the discovery process, examining witnesses, preparing witnesses for examination, and drafting various successful motions and other submissions, including dispositive motions and mediation briefs. Ruth has also drafted several appellate briefs involving single plaintiff and class claims.

    Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Ruth worked as an attorney in the Labor and Employment practice group of a top Israeli law firm, Herzog, Fox & Neeman in Tel Aviv, Israel, where her practice focused on traditional labor and employment litigation, employee benefits and executive compensation, and international transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.

    Ruth received her JD from UCLA School of Law, where she served as an editor of the UCLA Journal of International Law. Ruth also served as a judicial intern at the Israel Ministry of Justice, International Department, during law school and as a research assistant at the Institute for National Security Studies.
