About this office:
SJ Berwin's Paris office opened in March 2001, based around a core team of experts in private equity legal and taxation work, and has added specialist teams focusing on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), on corporate law, competition, banking law and real estate.
The office comprises 40 lawyers, including 12 partners and is continuing to grow.
The French office is rapidly building its own reputation as part of SJ Berwin's market leading practice in Europe in fund formation and fundraising, Clients advised locally include an increasing number of investments funds seeking legal and taxation advice not only at the time of their formation, but also as they invest in corporate transactions ranging from venture capital, to early stage financings and MBO/LBO's, as well as disposals.
The office is also increasingly active in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and corporate venturing, across a broad range of complex corporate finance and restructuring work. The firm is favoured by large and mid-sized clients, from France or from abroad.
