From its foundation, in 1994, Sacha Calmon - Misabel Derzi Consultores e Advogados has been dedicated exclusively to Tax Law.

At the head of the team are Professor Sacha Calmon Navarro Coêlho, one of the five most cited tax experts in the decisions of the Brazilian Higher Courts, and Misabel Abreu Machado Derzi, former Attorney General of the State of Minas Gerais and of the city of Belo Horizonte.
The firm operates in administrative and court litigation at all levels, linked to a network of associates' and correspondents' offices covering the whole of Brazil. The firm also deals with Tax Consultancy. Consultancy includes the preparation of legal opinions by the partners Sacha Calmon Navarro Coêlho and Misabel Abreu Machado Derzi, and the assistance, by the team, in business decisions concerning the reduction of the tax burden, the prevention of fiscal risk, the planning of business projects and the definition of strategies in administrative and court litigation.
